many regard rakim as the g.o.a.t.(greatest of all time).
this cat ran with the real/original 50 cent & even had
dude in his early videos (50 relieved him of his chain
later on though). rakim is extremely low key & kinda
had issues with kane earlier on in their careers. when
run-dmc & others were screamingover beats in the mid
80s. ra came through with his super mellow & laid-back
flow(many [including 2pac] say nas bit/stole his rhyme
style.. his 1st release is considered a hip hop
classic (even by drey). he pretty much changed the
way rappers rapped back then & he still got it. but,
dont sweat his technique.
